The next race is the most prestigious Grand Prix of them all, Monaco.

Because the race is so special, bonus points will be awarded in the European Drivers’ Championship. Pole-position will earn the driver 10 points, second on the grid will earn six points, then four, three, two and one point for sixth on the grid. This is the points system used from 1991-2002.

The 71st Monaco Grand Prix will be held over the 23-25-26 May (Friday is traditionally market day in Monaco) and will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports F1, with extended highlights on the BBC.
