F1 2013 Alternative Championships – Round 7/19: Canada

THIS year’s Canadian Grand Prix was overshadowed by the tragic death of 38-year-old track marshal Mark Robinson, who was run over by the recovery vehicle that was clearing away Esteban Gutiérrez’s Sauber.

Robinson’s death was the first trackside fatality in F1 since fellow marshal Graham Beveridge at the 2001 Australian Grand Prix.

Reigning champions Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull won for the first time in Canada to extend their led in their respective championships.

The next race is the 68th running of the British (English) Grand Prix at Silverstone from 28-29-30 June. Practice, qualifying and the race will be broadcast on both the BBC and Sky Sports F1.
