THE draw for the semi-finals of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has been made in host city Vienna.
Prior to today’s draw the 33 countries that enter at the semi-final stage were split into five pots based on their voting patterns from the past 10 years. Winners are shown in bold.

The top 10 nations from each semi will advance to the Final along with the Big Five: France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the U.K. as well as host and last year’s winner, Austria on Saturday 23rd May.
Cyprus and Serbia are returning to the contest after sitting out last year’s, while Czechia last participated in 2009.
Ukraine will not take part this year owing to financial issues surrounding the ongoing crisis in the country.
This year’s edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is the 60th and the first to be held in Austria since 1967, which was won by Sandie Shaw of the U.K. with Puppet on a String.
Austria’s Conchita Wurst won last year’s contest in Copenhagen with Rise Like a Phoenix.
